Images of Steel

All the digital images on my site are created by starting with a piece of steel or copper.

First I select a piece of steel or copper. Using my plasma cutter I cut, carve and grind a piece of steel. the steel changes color during this process.

The steel is then scanned at high resolution. The image is recorded digitally and can be printed on a variety of substrates including:

• Metallic Paper

• Dibond

• Fine Art Paper

• Glass

• Wood

The final digital image(s) can be printed in a variety of colors and sizes:

Plasma cutting is a process that uses high velocity compressed air as a cutting gas. The quality of the cut is superb. This high velocity gas, or plasma, conducts electricity from the torch to the work piece. The plasma heats the work piece melting the material.  You can cut along a predetermined line drawn on the surface of the steel and get a precise cut. Organic and geometric cuts are possible.
